A few days before our anniversary, we wandered the beach for an afternoon of sun and sea and beer and food. Something romantic was going on.

| On the dock, someone's life was changing. They earned a round of applause. |

Every time someone asked, we told them that we would be celebrating our 48th anniversary. Near the end of the day we recalculated and realized it would only be our 47th.
