Punta Sur

After breakfast (noonish), we headed down the road to Punta Sur (South Point). On the way down we stopped to check out a few restaurants. One, Garrafalon de Castilla, looks like a future possibility.

On the Western side of the point, the coast is much rockier.

Looking out at the extreme southern tip, past the sculpture garden.

We stopped at a restaurant near the lighthouse. The food was not memorable. Deb ordered lobster and didn't even eat it.

The sculptures were made of steel and the walk around the pathways was very pleasant.

This is the precise spot where the sunrise can first be seen in Mexico. We missed it.

Is this the energizer bunny, or is it an Aztec Warrior playing a drum?

Because Deb had not yet had any lunch, on the way back we stopped at a reggae bar called "The Joint". They had live music (Rock, not reggae) and good tacos.
