Home By the Lake

After we took Catriona and Carol to the airport, we searched on airbnb for a place to stay that was nearby. What we found was near Mineville outside of Halifax. The pictures looked very nice and the reviews were very good. Only one thing gave me cause for concern. It was too cheap. This was our least expensive place so far. There must be something wrong with it. Right?

Wrong! The house was amazing and the people (Paul and Joey) were wonderful. We were welcomed and we were given great advice about where to eat and what to see in Halifax.

The house was modern and stylish.

Gardens were maintained.

Our room was very clean and very comfortable.

The living, dining, cooking space was incredible.

This outdoor space can be enclosed at the touch of a button.

From there a long deck leads to the lake.

Sammy came from next door to visit.

In the morning the mist on the water turned everything into a wonderland.

Meanwhile, Joey worked on breakfast.
