Off to Quebec

It has been a while since we have gone anywhere, so a road trip seems like a wonderful idea. We headed out on Saturday (Sept 7). This was one day later than planned because Hurricane Dorian was scheduled to hit Nova Scotia this weekend. We needed to give the hurricane a chance to move through.
Our first night was spent in Drummondville, Quebec. Obviously we were not in a hurry.
On day two we headed for St-Jean-Port-Joli on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River. It turns out that this is an artisan village full of amazing sculptures.

This one is a sand sculpture (very temporary).

Many are very large wood carvings.

The shoreline is very rocky.

These flowers were huge

On the wall of the sailing club, the birds are made from driftwood.

A boat for the kids to play on.

Tonight we are in Riviere Du Loup. Tomorrow we will probably take a whale watching cruise on the St. Lawrence.
