A Panoramic View of Venice

On our last full day in Venice, we took an elevator to the top of the belltower

This is Saint Mark's Square with the marathon route still set up.

On the other side of the canal we can see Saint George's Cathedral.

This is a bell tower and it is a clock tower on the square.

The clock itself has a very beautiful twenty-four hour face. I have no idea whether it is working or not.

This picture shows some of the decks that are on top some of the buildings. You can also see the bell on top of the clock tower.

The bells are ringing because it is sunday. The faithful are being called to mass.
